“Freeze, all forgery and falsification”
ISID, Inc. (President, Kyung Gun Choi), a firm specialized in 3D imaging system, announced on 14th that they had finished their last step of developing their hologram technique for the upgraded 3D imaging system. They have applied this system to the anti-forgery sticker products and have begun to supply them to KBS (Korean Broadcasting System).
The item supplied to KBS is 1.5x2.0 cm sticker, which has 200 pictures of KBS central office building and its logo embedded inside. This is structured in a way that the logo can be projected and observed in the air 5 cm above the sticker. This is what makes it fundamentally difficult to copy it to make a counterfeit.
President Choi said, “This is our accomplishment after the 7 years of our research and development. It will be greatly helpful to prevent any kind of forgery and falsification when used in money or checks, credit cards, passports, or IDs.
They are planning to extend the area of their application even to advertisements, exhibition, and public promotion halls, etc. Especially, if they apply this system to TV, people will be able to enjoy 3D images in their living rooms without wearing 3D glasses.
This company has so far obtained three patents with this technique last year
